The Leccia family's association with wine dates back to the beginning of the 20th century, when viticulture became the family's principal livelihood. The modern estate was developed by Pierre Joseph Leccia, who established bottle sales under the Domaine Leccia name. During the 1980s, Pierrot and Angèle entrusted the estate to the next generation, and today Annette Leccia continues the family's tradition with an unwavering commitment to quality, certified organic and biodynamic viticulture, and sustainable farming practices that respect both the vineyard and its surrounding ecosystem. All grapes are harvested by hand at optimal ripeness, while herbicides are avoided entirely in favour of careful soil management and environmentally responsible vineyard practices.

The estate's flagship red grape is Niellucciu, the historic variety that defines the wines of Patrimonio. Modern DNA studies have shown Niellucciu to be genetically identical, or extremely closely related, to Sangiovese, making it one of the many fascinating links between Corsica and neighbouring Italy. In Patrimonio, however, Niellucciu develops its own distinctive personality under Mediterranean conditions, producing elegant reds with notes of wild herbs, black cherries, Mediterranean spices and savoury minerality. Equally renowned are Domaine Leccia's superb rosé wines, widely regarded among the finest produced anywhere in France, combining delicate colour with remarkable structure, freshness and gastronomic versatility.

Alongside Niellucciu, the estate cultivates traditional Corsican white varieties, producing crisp, mineral-driven whites that beautifully reflect the maritime climate, as well as the celebrated Muscat du Cap Corse, one of France's most distinctive naturally sweet wines.
