30% OFF – NOW ONLY S$48.30 (UP: S$69)! 4.3/5 Vivino (2018) & 4.2/5 Vivino (2017)! Two Beautifully Mature Amarone Vintages – Rich, Velvety and Elegant, Now Entering Their Prime Drinking Window!

Tezza CORTE MAJOLI Amarone della Valpolicella 2017 and 2018 are two beautifully mature expressions of full-bodied Italian Amarone from the renowned Valpantena valley, just north of Verona. Produced by the family-owned Tezza winery, these wines combine the richness and concentration of traditional Amarone with remarkable elegance, freshness and wonderfully smooth tannins. Their distinctive character reflects Valpantena's mineral-rich, calcareous soils.

Made from Corvina and Rondinella, carefully selected grapes undergo the traditional appassimento technique, slowly drying in temperature- and humidity-controlled lofts to concentrate their natural sugars, aromas and flavours. Following fermentation in stainless-steel tanks, the wines undergo extended maturation in Tezza's cellar, developing impressive depth, complexity and beautifully rounded textures.

Both vintages display a deep ruby-garnet colour and an expressive bouquet of ripe sour cherries, dried plums, blackberries and dried rose petals, complemented by cocoa, liquorice, tobacco, leather and warming spices. On the palate, they are rich, full-bodied and wonderfully velvety, with concentrated fruit, soft yet structured tannins, balanced freshness and a long, harmonious finish.

Beautifully mature and entering their prime drinking windows! At nine and eight years old respectively in 2026, both vintages offer attractive opportunities to enjoy Amarone with developing complexity.

The 2017 vintage is likely to show a richer, more evolved character, with generous dark fruit, dried figs, chocolate, tobacco and balsamic spices. The 2018 vintage may offer a slightly fresher and more vibrant expression, retaining lively cherry fruit alongside emerging notes of leather, cocoa and dried herbs. Individual bottle development will depend on storage conditions.

Two magnificent Amarone vintages – powerful yet elegant, richly textured and wonderfully enjoyable! Both are excellent choices for lovers of mature Italian reds, whether enjoyed now after gentle aeration or cellared for further development.
