Tenuta Tre Gemme – Pecorino D'Abruzzo 2025
New winery!
Super lean and crisp white from South Italy
Tasting Notes
The main characteristic of this grape variety is its pronounced acidity. Pecorino is a "thick" wine, with great structure and complexity endowed with very marked and clear-cut aromas, with a prevalence of herbaceous ones. Its tropical fruity notes are sumptuous and warm, with hints of yellow flowers, but we also find mineral and iodine notes and aromatic herbs such as thyme and marjoram. Great persistence.
Vineyard
15-year-old vines at an altitude of 450 m above sea level.
Vinification
In steel tanks. The must is left on the skins and fermentation is carried out at 15-16°C. Maturation follows in the bottle for 3 months.
Colour
Pale straw-yellow
Food Pairing
Excellent with dishes with shellfish, mollusks, prawns and lobster: with white meats, such as turkey, chicken and rabbit. It goes well with truffle dishes. Pecorino wine is best consumed with aged cheese.
Serving Temperature
10-12°C
