The vineyard lies at approximately \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e250–300 metres elevation\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, with south-western exposure and compact \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003elimestone- and clay-rich soils\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e. The wine remains firmly structured, but the tannins are beginning to soften, giving the mature fruit and savoury complexity greater definition.
