Castell Die Gefährten 2020 is an elegant German white wine from the historic Castell estate in Franconia, made from a blend of Weißburgunder (Pinot Blanc) and Grauburgunder (Pinot Gris). It features aromas of ripe pear, yellow apple, quince, white flowers, fresh herbs, and subtle nutty notes, with a dry, rounded, and finely textured palate. The Weißburgunder contributes freshness, elegance, and delicate fruit, while the Grauburgunder adds richness, body, and a gently creamy character. Balanced acidity, subtle minerality, and a touch of spice lead to a smooth, harmonious finish, making it an excellent food-friendly Franconian white.
