Castell Die Gefährten 2020

Castell Die Gefährten 2020 is a charming German red wine from the historic Castell estate in Franconia, made from a blend of Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir), Domina, and Merlot. It features inviting aromas of sour cherry, ripe plum, forest berries, subtle liquorice, and delicate spice, with a juicy, smooth, and well-balanced palate. The Pinot Noir contributes elegance and freshness, while Domina and Merlot provide darker fruit, colour, and roundness. Soft acidity, fine tannins, and 12 months of maturation in small oak barrels add depth and gentle savoury complexity, leading to a supple, harmonious finish.

Cuvée of Pinot Noir, Merlot and Spätburgunder; matured 12 months in small wooden barrels.
