Gewürztraminer BREAKAWAY is an intensely aromatic and characterful alcohol-free white wine from Bergdolt-Reif & Nett in the Pfalz, made from Gewürztraminer and matured in stainless steel tanks. This is a particularly convincing grape variety for dealcoholised wine, as its naturally expressive aromas remain remarkably vivid without the alcohol. With only 0.27% alcohol, the wine offers a generous, full-bodied style with plenty of fruit and texture.

The nose is unmistakably Gewürztraminer, with rose petals, lychee, ripe peach and sweet citrus, complemented by delicate floral honey and exotic fruit. On the palate, it is rich and juicy, with a rounded texture, generous fruit and a harmonious interplay between fruity sweetness and fresh acidity. The finish is long and aromatic, with ripe mandarin, peach and lychee lingering beautifully. Falstaff awarded the wine 92 points in both 2025 and 2026, praising its varietal character, structure and elegant balance between fruit and sweetness.

The wine is particularly well suited to Asian cuisine with mild spice, Thai curries, sweet-and-sour dishes and fruit-driven preparations, where its aromatic intensity and gentle sweetness complement rather than compete with the food. It also makes an excellent aperitif for those who prefer their alcohol-free wines with some richness and sweetness. The wine received Doppelgold at the Austrian Zero Award 2026 with 18.29/20 points, further recognising its quality in the alcohol-free category.
