Fantini Wines (Abruzzo, Italy)

Founded in 1994 in the Adriatic town of Ortona, Abruzzo, Fantini Wines (formerly Farnese Vini) has grown into one of Italy's greatest modern wine success stories. Established by three young entrepreneurs—Valentino Sciotti, Filippo Baccalaro and Camillo De Iuliis, affectionately known as "The Three Dreamers"—the company was built on an innovative vision: to produce world-class wines from Southern Italy's finest vineyards without owning extensive estates, instead partnering with outstanding local growers who shared their uncompromising commitment to quality.
Originally known as Farnese Vini, the company adopted the name Fantini Wines to reflect its evolution from a single winery into a collection of carefully selected boutique wineries spanning some of Italy's most exciting wine regions. Today, the Fantini Group produces wines from Abruzzo, Puglia, Basilicata, Campania, Sicily, Sardinia and Tuscany, while maintaining the same philosophy that inspired its founders over three decades ago: showcasing the unique character of Italy's indigenous grape varieties and regional terroirs through modern, approachable and consistently high-quality wines.
Fantini's success has been extraordinary. The group has repeatedly been recognised as Italy's Best Boutique Winery and Best Italian Producer in major international wine competitions, while collecting more than 80 gold medals and exporting its wines to over 80 countries worldwide. These achievements have firmly established Fantini as one of Italy's leading ambassadors for Southern Italian wines and one of the country's most successful premium wine producers.

Rather than pursuing prestige through famous vineyard ownership, Fantini focuses on selecting exceptional vineyard sites and working closely with experienced growers throughout southern Italy. Combining meticulous viticulture with modern winemaking techniques under the guidance of internationally respected oenologists, the winery consistently produces wines that offer outstanding quality, varietal purity and exceptional value. The portfolio ranges from fresh, fruit-driven everyday wines to iconic flagship bottlings such as Edizione Cinque Autoctoni, one of Italy's most acclaimed multi-regional blends, together with highly regarded single-varietal wines including Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Primitivo, Negroamaro, Pecorino and Aglianico.
Today, Fantini Wines continues to combine entrepreneurial spirit, innovation and a deep respect for Italy's regional wine traditions. By bringing together the finest vineyards and indigenous grape varieties from across Southern Italy, the group has redefined the concept of the modern Italian boutique winery while remaining true to its original vision: producing authentic wines that express the richness, diversity and passion of Italy's most exciting wine regions.
